<![CDATA[Well the other day I got frustrated with a losing streak I have been on at my regular 3/6 6max at party poker, so I decided why not I know not to much about Limit O8 but I’ll play some 1/2 to learn it bettor. Obviously I wasn't going into this blind one of my good friends is an expert at the damn game and I watched him play on a few occasions prior to this and I played some play money MTT of Limit O8. In that MTT I got 39th out of 1512 never playing the game before, I think I did pretty damn good.

So I figure why not I’ll play some 1/2 O8 should be fun and relaxing compared to 3/6 SH. I sit down at 2 table play for about 45min and quit up $51, nice little session for my first time in a real O8 game. Well I went back to 2/4 SH and made good money like $83 or something in 100 hands, I ran pretty good and walked, so I went back to O8 and then shit went real bad, I got my nut Lo hands counterfeited at least 10 times on the turn or river, I hit 3 pair 5 or so times and missed my boat... I got dealt 3 of a kind 4 times, 4 to the suit at least 6 times, it was gross... I dropped a buyin at one of my tables because I had a mid FD for a high and got my nut low counterfeited, that hand coast me I’d say 8 or 9bb easy so lets just say I wasn't real happy about it...

I ended up walking from the game up $5, woot lol, I guess breaking pretty much even for a first real session of O8 is good but I have high expectations for my ability as a poker player and it's not 2.5bb... anyways after that I went back to 2/4 SH and got within $80 or so of breaking even for the day so I called it quits...

The O8 game I enjoyed other then running bad and getting man handled, I think it might become my 2nd game to play when I’m burned out on Texas holdem... Razz is a good game too but I don't want to put money in one site JUST for Razz...

Well that's all I got, good luck at the tables all, regards PokerFanatic]]>

<![CDATA[So I made the jump again finally from 1/2 6max to 2/4 6max. Things started out great for me I can't complain at all given that I have made 2 pots that were 32.50bb each. Poker can be easy when you run well, it’s not a test of a good player when he runs well and the cards are on his side. The true test of a good poker player is when the cards turn on him and he is running badly.

I have talked about this before so I won’t go into many details today. Just remember success only comes once yo0u have proven that you can make money when all the variance has come to equilibrium in the long term.]]>

<![CDATA[Well I have been playing 1/2 SH lately and doing well at it, I’m also running well so that always helps out your win rate out a lot. For me running good is odd given that I’m used to running avg to bad given my last 4 months well just were complete hell.

But that's not the point of this post the point of this post is to tell limit players out there that SH play can actually improve your Full game IF you have a solid grasp of FULL Ring concepts. I started to play 1/2 SH because I needed to become bettor about trying to put my horrid opponents on hands post flop, and I needed to work on my blind play...

Since starting to play this I would say that over 5k hands (about 1/2 what I was hopping to play) I’m playing much bettor in the blinds over all and I’m getting much bettor reads on just more unpredictable opponents... Maybe this is something that all small stakes limit players should look into, given that once you hit about 3/6 full the game because way more tight and way more Argo...

Good Luck and Regards PokerFanatic]]>
