its that time of the year (for me anyway) where the school year is wrapping up. unfortunetly, me being in my final year of high school, the exams coming up are rather serious. this means STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!! unfortunetly this has meant ive been unable to spend as much time as i would normally online at 21ace. rest assured tho, my final exam is on November 8 so expect me on 24/7 after that

thats it for now.... gonna go study some more now.

hope everyones doing well.

i guess you're all aware the July newsletter has been released... hope everyone recieved it hassle free.

i tell you, the writers that contribute work every month (or so) are doing a damn fine job. the newsletter would be nothing if it wasn't for them, and they do it for free..... Thank You All.

in the July issue you may have noticed a new write.... Lee Asher. Yep, he will be contributing articles to the newsletter from time to time... and we thank him for that.

DeadPeopleAllOver and TheEMan have organised interviews each. this has been a great help for me as i've been studying more and more. hopefully you will get to see these interviews in coming months newsletters.... its a suprise (for the ppl not in the premium forum) who the interviews will be of. Thanks Kris and Anders.... your saving my ass.

Recently a new Private council was elected. Dead was nominated as Foreman and thus got to choose 4 members to assist in the Council. the members chosen were Sreename, TheEMan, Jonjo and myself. together with Eric and Shadow, we monitor the forums and make sure that its headed in the right direction. we also plan for the future and with a bit of luck you will enjoy some of the changes we have/will make.

the 2nd Magic Contest is about to commence, so get your decks and cameras ready and lets see what you got.

after some technical issues, the May edition of the newsletter was released. hopefully you all enjoyed it!


this month we have got something special installed!!!! you may have heard rumours, you may have hacked into the system and read my PM's.....or you may have read my post and the announcement at the top of the forum.

the latest newsletter has been released and its a long one this month.

thanks to everyone that helped in the creating of this months articles and newsletter in general.

as you might notice, marps interview isn't in there. due to other commitments the interview will be pushed back till next month..... so next month will have 2 interviews.

hey guys hows it going?

well, just thought i'd update you on a recent plan we have put into place.

updating the dated images and videos that make up the Card Tricks section. as flourishing has progressed, the images haven't and need to be re-done. so we have decided to update and make new ones.

so check them out. so far we have only done the Charlier cut. but more will soon be up.

Also, just thought i'd let you know that we are expecting big things from the newsletter this month, and bigger things from future editions. we have plans to make it better and better, but you will all see in good time.

another newsletter and another month gone.

this months newsletter is pretty bare..... partly due to the lack of time we had (i think it was like 2 weeks to put it together) and partly due to the 10 page tutorial Drey was kind enough to put together.

this month we interviewed Eric, our site Administrator..... so u can read more into 21ace and its founder.

next month will contain a bit more substance, but i hope u enjoy reading this one...... i know i did!

i'd like to thank those that contributed articles...... a newsletter would just be pointless if noone contributed.

the process of making a newsletter is pretty straight forward. first we recieve the articles, then they are proof read and put into order, finally it is converted to the appropriate format and sent out.

the process is pretty simple.....but for some reason it still takes a decent amount of work to get it ready.

the second edition is out and hopefully you enjoy reading it. this month has a range of interesting articles and an interview (as shadow has outlined in his blog).
this month i attempted to write a tutorial of a pretty basic ace production....man writing it was hard. describing the movements and steps is quite confusing. hopefully its not too hard to figure out. next month i'll do a more detailed one.....i think i've got a good grasp of how to write a tutorial (even if the first one didn't show it). think of it as more of an experiment.

hopefulyl u enjoy reading the different articles, interviews and tutorials. take your time and read each of them..... people out a lot of effort into writing the articles and it would be a shame if they were wasted.

also, if you haven't subscribed to the newseletter do it now! its well worth the 30seconds it takes to sign up.

Currently we are working on the second edition of the 21ace newsletter.

the first edition was a success and hopefully you all enjoyed it. it took a bit of time, proof-reading the articles and getting it all organised, but hopefully it will become easier and easier as each edition is released.

with a bit of luck i'll be writing an article in the Febuary edition, dont hold me to that because i've just started back at school (woot woot) but fingers crossed.

anyway, back to work.

if you haven't subscribed already i strongly suggest you all do.

currently i'm just doing my thing.

i recently (well a few weeks ago) got the System, so i've been taking ideas from that for new cuts.

i was gonna go through the dvd and learn trick by trick, but then figured those cuts have been done over and over again, so i decided to mix it up.
i learnt the basics of the cut i wanted, then just added my own little piece to it. so far i haven't gotten too far with it (seeing i've only had it for a short period) but i'm making progress.

in other element of my life i go back to school in about a week. my first day is the Jan 31st but its only a half day which is nice. but i'm trying to complete all my holiday homework and at the same time enjoy the last days of my holidays.

were getting closer to the newsletter release...... i hope everybody has subscribed. if not i'm gonna come round to each and every one of ur houses and take thumbs! then if u still dont subscribe i'll be taking big toes, and u know how hard it is to balance without big toes!

hey guys,

decided to update u on wats going on in the life of Alex Peterson (aka fattyonadiet).... to tell u the truth there isn't a whole lot.

its holidays and i've started studying for my subjects, man i hate holiday homework..... but its gotta help out wen i get back (right? ). been trying to fit that around social things and earning money, its a hard balance but i think i have it under control.

also the release of the 21ace newsletter is all very exciting. we r working on trying to make it the best it can be.... hopefully u guys like it. many ideas have been thrown up and contimplated which is always fun. eric and shadow r handling the techincal side of things so its sure to be special.

the flourishing side of things has slowed up a bit.... i'm still always with deck in hand, just i'm not always using the deck . wen i get round to it i'll make a video, but i cant see that happening for a while.

i'm gonna let u go, cOz i'm tired and its bed time for me!!!!!

well christmas came and left. by now we have all probly forgot about it, or at least not thought about it for the last week or so.

my christmas was pretty standard. woke up too early thanks to a younger sibling, went and openned presents in a daze and prepared to go to lunch.
my xmas lunch was the same as every year.... too much food, too much drink, too little time between meals. i'm sure ur all familiar with it!
then came christmas dinner with the other set of relatives...... and EATING FEST 2005 continued. i'm pretty sure that throughout the 2 meals i would have had to eat more then 1 kilo of food....... but hell, i'm not complaining.

New Years is a little more recent. HAPPY NEW YEAR by the way. my new years was a bit dissapointing, due to friends plans changing and the increased pressure to go to my aunties so i could meet my cousins from Scotland! our christmas day was extremely hot. the day was 43*C and the night hovered around the 35*C mark, so i think it was a good idea i went to my aunties place (they have a pool and thats where i was most the night).

for those who may not know, i'm 17. which means my next year of schooling will be my last, well before i go to university. so as u can imagine its a pretty important year. it involves study, study and more study..... with the occasional nap. but i'm currently on holidays which is always good. i go back on the 31st of january...... so i'm trying to make the most of the weeks i have left. only problem is that i have all this holiday homework that needs to me completed. oh well, its gotta be done!

well just thought i'd give u all an update of my life......

hey hey guys, just thought i'd update you before christmas.

well, my plan to concertrate on one flourish at a time went down the toilet. i know, it shows lack of commitment..... but that system is just so dull! instead i am just making sure the flourishes i have down are smooth, no fancy system, no rules.... just me, a deck of cards and holidays!

anyway, as i'm sure your all aware it is christmas time and this year it almost sent me broke but never mind, i'm helping my uncle out with some work.... so thats gonna make me some cash.
christmas is fun, but i believe the lead up to christmas is the best time. the anticipation, the spending of way too much money and the consuming of far too many candy canes.... but wat can i say i love them!!!
another great part of christmas is the boxing day sales. not sure if others enjoy this, but its the best time just to buy random (and some not so random) crap! its fun.... i know, kinda girlie.... but fck it, its FUN!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to u all, and hope u enjoy the rest of ur holidays!!!!

just thought i'd give u guys a quick update on my progress with my right handed revolution.

well, its going well i suppose....... its not as smooth as i would like it, and i can only do it if i'm also doing it with the left hand, but these little issues should be ironned out in time.

also i thought i'd let u guys know that i've found a place in Australia that lets me buy poker cards for like 5$ each deck or i can buy cartens...... now this may not excite u guys (well at least not americans) but that cheap as chips. normally i pay anywhere between 9$ - 12$ for a single deck (and that not a special kind of deck, just a regular Bike or Tally) but now i can buy cheap decks........
oh well, i'm excited about it!

i have decided to practice one hand revolution with my right hand. i can do it left handed but i want to be able to do it right handed. but i havent figured out which magic trick i am going to work on........ maybe i'll just work on the flourishes.

and i'm not gonna be able to just practice the revolution cut with my right hand exclusively (i need variety)...... but its gonna be my main objective.

hey guys,

today i have decided to start a fresh. what do u mean? i hear u say, i mean with both flourishing and magic. from today onwards i am going to relearn everything. well, maybe not everything, but definetly the harder of both. i am going to relearn cuts and magic tricks all over again.

why? because yesterday i was sitting watching tv (with cards in hand) and i realised that i only know a few cuts perfectly. i know how to do a large number of cuts, but i had only spent the time necessary to get them perfect on a few of the cuts. same goes with magic tricks.

so from today onwards i will start with 1 magic trick and 1 flourish, and i will not move on to another one until i have mastered that one. i'm still deciding which flourish and which magic trick i am going to spend my time on, but rest assured u will be kept informed from day 1 (which is today).

well i'm off to start deciding, but when i decide which ones, u guys will be the first to know!
